Statement from Ralph Gilles, President and CEO – SRT Brand and Motorsports, in response to the announcement by Penske Racing that it was leaving Dodge for Ford in 2013:

"Dodge has enjoyed a successful partnership with Penske Racing for 10 years.  It's a partnership that has produced results for both parties on and off the track.  Roger (Penske) has made a business decision to accept an offer with another manufacturer.  We wish Roger and Penske Racing much success in the future.

"We are committed to work with Penske Racing to compete at the highest level, win races and contend for championships this season.

“Our motorsports involvement isn't limited to NASCAR.  We do value our NASCAR program and will be evaluating the opportunities available moving forward.  As those opportunities materialize, we'll reveal our 2013 plans, not only in NASCAR but in other forms of motorsports."

Yes it is true that Toyota employs almost 200,000 here in the us. But the Big 3 really isn't the Big 3 anymore. Chrysler\Dodge\Ram is owned by Fiat, an Italian Company. The U.S. Government still owns GM - please sell GM, U.S. Government. So we have Toyota, Ford, Fiat and Government. GREAT setup..... (sarcasm intended).

It's funny how people love to bash Toyota . Yet the employ more people in the US than the BIG 3 combined .

What a shame Dodge is garbage and so is Roger Penske.  It was a match made in garbage heaven.

Well now Roger and his crappy team will go to Ford only to keep losing to Chevrolets.  Not quite sure why Roger doesnt use Toyotas seeing how he owns the largest Toyota dealership in the USA.  Could it be because Roger knows Toyotas are junk? lovinMSU

chevy and the france family of morons have been in bed together for years. Keep foolin' yourself on how truly "great" chevy is. nascar forced Dodge out years ago because Dodge had the hemi and the gm junk couldn't touch them. nascar put the restrictor plates on the cars when the chevy teams couldn't keep their cars from going airborne (and Bill Elliott came from 2 laps down UNDER GREEN FLAG RACING to win Talledega). nascar also raised the Fords up 1/2 inch to slow Elliott's Ford down AND HE WENT FASTER! It took a Rousch team member to fix the problem as no one at gm or the gm teams could figure it out. fast forward to Ford engineers finding the horsepower and also keeping their engines cool at the same time. nascar puts a standard pressure release valve rule in place to once again "even" the playing field for gm JUNK! I hate toyota as they have no place being in this sport, but I hate gm just as much due to the fact nascar does all of their R&D for them. COT was a tool for slowing down gm's competitors as well. In only three lines of BS, you exposed yourself as a complete know nothing. Nice job genius!

Let's see, he has two teams, both use Dodges, and both won races and made the chase last year.  Inform me how that makes the Dodges or Penske garbage.
